We’re running a range of health and community events across 2026 here in Maningrida.
These activities bring together Mala’la staff and partner organisations, with a focus on making our health services easier to access and creating spaces where people feel comfortable to come along.

Youth Week
Date: 1 to 5 June
A week-long celebration of young people in Maningrida with activities for youth including sports, workshops and outreach health checks.
Mobile lung screening
Date: 6 to 17 July
Lung and TB screening
Community TB screening
Date: 10 to 21 August
Community-wide tuberculosis screening and follow-up support.
Women's health checks
Date: TBC in August or September
Additional women’s health screening delivered by our health workers, alongside wellbeing activities.
Millie Pink Bus Screening
Date: 25 August to 4 September
Screening services for women available in community through the visiting screening bus.
Healthy Skin Week
Date: 7 to 11 September
Our biannual community-wide skin checks, treatment and health promotion activities across Maningrida.
Kick the Habit Footy Festival
Date: TBC in September or November
Our football event promoting healthy lifestyles and positive choices in collaboration with Sydney Swans and Tackling Indigenous Smoking.
