This program is staffed by three Remote Area Nurses, a GP and a Community Worker.
We provide a 24 hour Acute and Emergency service during opening hours to manage critically ill or injured patients.
Services provided by our acute team include:
- Two consult beds, and one resuscitation bed
- ‘000’ first responders with retrieval vehicle
- Initiate and coordinate Care Flight retrievals
- Facilitate low acuity Medical Retrievals
- Manage the Recall system for patients who need a follow up, or ongoing short-term care.
- Refer patients to other programmes for further management and holistic care of clients
- Transfer patients to other programs for further support and assessment
